About me

For over a decade, I have managed brand, content marketing, and communications teams through multiple funding rounds and a nine-digit acquisition.

The (not so) secret to my success is simple. So simple that it’s something a six-year-old could do (and probably more competently than you or me):

Practice empathy. Lots of it.

Empathy informs pretty much everything I do—from managing and developing my own teams, to creating a meaningful brand story that contributes real value to internal stakeholders, investors, and customers.

In today’s business world, you often hear about how important it is to know your customer. And it’s true. But that’s just the beginning. To build a truly memorable brand, own your category, and ultimately last the test of time, you need to empathize with your customer.

😨 What keeps them up late at night?

☀️ Why do they get out of bed every morning?

🤗 How do they think about their relationship with your business

When empathy informs how your business operates, it enables you to see your customers as real people and they, in turn, see you as much more than a business.

If you want to talk to me about how I lead empathetically and create work that resonates on a deeper level with customers, feel free to shoot me a message.
